I wonder if this short campaign will treat "Grey" with more dignity than Iden Versio. If he's going to fight for the Empire after all the shit they've done, let him die fighting for it.No redemption. No heroic sacrifice. None of that. If you still stood with the Empire after all the slavery and the nuking of Alderaan, it'll be hard for writers to justify this person having a sudden change of heart later because it suddenly affects someone or something they like. Writers, if you're giving us an Imperial perspective, don't pull an Iden Versio. Let this dude die on that side. I'd have more respect for the character that way.

Shorts like this make you sympathise with the fighter a lot, it made me realise that just because he fights for the empire, it doesnt mean he’s a bad guy, he was conscripted and had no choice, he did a very noble thing and payed the price

The Empire were based on Nazis, who were racist. If you watch the OT, you don't see any diversity in the Empire and they were cruel to Admiral Thrawn in the academy. That's what feels off to me here.

I still can’t get over how we actually get to see the imperial’s side of this. With the rebels looking intimidating this time around.

Every battle has two sides, two different stories. I'm glad they're doing this, finally showing us who are the lives fighting for the Empire.

Man that hit me in the feels when his fellow pilot got blown to atoms after trying so hard to save her. Not everyone in the Empire was evil. There were many good men and women who only wanted to restore order and avenge those lost to the Clone Wars.

It's great to see the Imperials humanized every once in a while. And this short is a great example of that. Made me root for him to the end.

so lit! A million times better than the Force Awakens EXCEPT... that Xwing pilot had the accent of your stereotypical 1960s "southern" white supremacist. I was ready for him to call Grey "boy." I would call that poor taste as an element to denote evil disdain for life in a universe not based in the 1960s civil rights struggle. I get it, but I think it assumes low intelligence for the viewers of what is otherwise an awesome short film. "oh he's a mean southern white male, we can dislike him now." Give me an all American accent for callous stupidity next time please.
