Been a var dealer for over 30 years and a mechanic i would have to say that the Best 2nd hand car in the 4000 to 8000 dollar range in Australia is the Nissan Maxima 350. Bullet proof engines that is up there with 1 of the best engines ever imported into the country. Has 185 kw of grunt so its anything but boring to drive, Amazing economy and has everything in it. Bit ugly but you get to like the looks after feeling the grunt it has. Will put alot of v8s to shame. It really is this 3.5l engine that steels the show. They are very reliable, rarely leak oil, leaking head gaskets etc are unheard of almost and they have a chain not a belt so there is no timing belt to change every 100 k or so. Its very under rated and actually almost theyare a bit unknown in the public so they are really very cheap cars considering the new price and how much they have devalued very fast.

I have a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. It's the best car I've ever owned. The only repairs I've had to make were maintenance ones. I've had it for nearly 14 years. It has only 130,000 miles, but I started with 30,000 when it was one year old. I do not drive many miles. But now it's complaining about electrical issues. I'm having it checked out to see if it's worth saving or if I should sell it. (They are family mechanics and are not out to get us.) You still see many big chevys around. I'm not saying he's wrong, but it's also how you drive that matters. Most people drive 80 in a 60 mph zone!

After watching this video, I purchased an 09 Camry for $4500. Basically the same car as the 2011. Same body, engine, transmission etc. It had 95k and was in great shape. I use it to deliver auto parts, so I put about 80k a year on my car. I bought it at the end of Jan 2020. It's now Sept 20 and I've put 55k on it. The only item that broke that I've had to replace was one $4.00 TPMS. That's it in 55k miles. About 3/4 of my miles are highway, so I'm hoping to put at least 300k on it. I've never owned a Toyota except for a 72 Celica I had 40 years ago. They always just seemed like boring vehicles to me, and honestly, they are, but if you want solid reliable transportation that's going to start every day and run for miles and miles and miles, Toyota is definitely the way to go. This thing is a workhorse.

My only problem is old cars give very low gas mileage.. Even you buy a old Japanese car like YmToyota Mitsubishi it's same, but when you buying a new car that is the advantage.

Bought my first car this summer! 2012 Ford Fusion v6 3.0 and I love it! I have a question about my model that has a select manual. How exactly should I use the manual mode or if I even should use it? It has 125,000 and zero accidents or mechanical issues.
